Spring rains bring a fresh smell to the air, flowers are blooming and hope “springs” eternal. And it’s time to freshen up our faces!

Our skin cells rejuvenate or turnover approximately every 3 weeks. This process may take up to 12 weeks as we age. The first step to freshen up our face is EXFOLIATION. A more frequent rejuvenation cycle results in healthier and more youthful looking skin.

MICRODERMABRASION
Microdermabrasion is a simple lunch time treatment, which is performed with a stream of fine crystals, which are delivered across the skin’s surface and then removed via vacuum, uprooting the damaged cells to reveal fresh, invigorated skin. Treatment can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, back, elbows, and feet. Microdermabrasion is a safe, therapeutic approach to skin care when used alone, or in combination with other treatments.

Microdermabrasion Improves:
-SKIN TEXTURE, UNEVEN SKIN COLOR, DULL OR DRY PATCHES
-ACNE AND ACNE SCARRING
-CLOGGED PORES AND BLACKHEADS, LARGE PORES
-FINE LINES, SUN SPOTS, AGE SPOTS

Resume regular activities immediately!
Microdermabrasion leaves your skin feeling soft and you will notice a healthy glow to your complexion. Skin is restored to a more youthful appearance and best of all there is no “down time” and also allows your skin care products to penetrate more deeply.

Medical chemical peels
Chemical Peels come in a variety of types and strength. Most patients opt for peels with little to no downtime and gentle peeling. In fact some of medical peels exfoliate with no appreciable visible peeling but certainly with beneficial microscopic peeling. A series of microdermabrasion or medical peels will result in the best results.

Those with more significant skin damage and aging may benefit from the use of lasers such as intense pulsed light (IPL – Photofacial Rejuvenation), or fractional lasers such as Clear + Brilliant and Fraxel. These lasers will treat pigmented sunspots, rosacea, age spots and fine lines and wrinkles. There should be little downtime and significant improvement.

In order to protect your skin AND your investment a medical skin care product line is very important. Obagi “NuDerm” system is one of the most effective exfoliating product lines. It is also excellent in the treatment of hyperpigmentation. SkinMedica growth factors – “TNS” and skin brighteners – “Lytera” will also improve skin health and appearance.

A combination of the above treatments and skin care will give you that “Spring Fresh Face”.
A consultation with a skin care specialist is always best. At the Aesthetic Laser & Vein Centers we offer a team of aesthetician, cosmetic laser nurses/physician assistant specialist and doctor. The best treatment should be customized to your specific skin type, age and history.
